Your Gift Builds Futures

Monthly and Annual Donations

Recurring donations help The Seaport Foundation plan and support Apprentices throughout the year as they learn, build skills, and become job ready.

Stocks/Investments

The Seaport Foundation gratefully accepts donations of stock, mutual funds, or other investments. Your donation may be tax deductible, and you avoid capital gains taxation on any related unrealized gains. Talk with your financial advisor to designate your donation, and review our Stock Gift Instructions to complete your gift.

IRA Charitable Giving

Your IRA can be used as a powerful philanthropic tool. If you are 70 ½ years of age or older and have a traditional individual retirement account (IRA), you can reduce your taxes and make an immediate impact at Seaport this year through an IRA Qualified Charitable Donation (QCD). Your QCD can satisfy your annual required minimum distribution as well.

Legacy Giving

Remember the Seaport Foundation as you plan your estate.  Planned giving is an easy and impactful way to support our youth and the future of Seaport’s important work.  All it takes is a few sentences in your will or living trust, or adding a beneficiary to an asset to ensure that the Seaport Foundation’s work lives on.  Click here for additional guidance.

In-Kind Donations

The Seaport Foundation welcomes in-kind donations. Our most frequent needs include:

  • Hand/power tools & lumber for the Apprentice Program
  • Boat and facilities maintenance services

Please contact us at ASFOffice@AlexandriaSeaport.org to arrange your in-kind donation.
