Can I use this experience for future education or work?
Yes. You will learn the crafts of woodworking and wooden boat building, but also life skills important to continuing your education or in the workplace.


Do I need to bring my own tools?
No. The Seaport Center has all the tools you need for your projects.


Do I need previous experience?
No. We don’t assume the apprentices have any previous experience in woodworking.


Can I get a tour and meet with a current or former apprentice to learn more about the program?
Yes; all applicants will have an opportunity to tour the Seaport Center and meet with a current or former apprentice to learn more about our Apprentice Program.
