Volunteer

  • Daytime volunteers assist in boat building and repair projects and work alongside ASF apprentices, staff, and other volunteers.
  • The volunteer/apprentice mentoring relationship is one of the cornerstones of our full-time apprentice program and considered one of ASF’s greatest assets.
  • We ask for a regular commitment (certain days or times of day) so that we can integrate you into the program and make you part of some meaningful work.
  • Volunteer orientations are held periodically on Tuesdays.  The Seaport Center is open between 8:00 and 4:00, with the lunch hour beginning at noon.  If you are interested, just stop by or email Evan Waksler, waksler@alexandriaseaport.org
